Understanding Daily Equilibrium
Daily Equilibrium has been designed to help you better understand how the way you spend your time influences your health and well-being.
Rather than focusing on one aspect of health, the app encourages you to reflect on the different activities that make up your everyday life. By increasing awareness of your routines, habits and mood, Daily Equilibrium helps you identify patterns, recognise areas of balance or imbalance, and make small, meaningful changes that support your long-term well-being.
The aim isn't to achieve perfection or follow a rigid routine.
Instead, Daily Equilibrium helps you create a lifestyle that is balanced, meaningful and sustainable for you.
The Seven Areas of Daily Equilibrium
Daily Equilibrium is built around seven key areas of everyday life. These categories are based on the principles of Occupational Balance and represent the different types of activities that contribute to overall health and well-being.
The seven categories are:
- Occupations and Vocations – work, education, parenting, caring responsibilities, volunteering and other purposeful activities.
- Self-Care Habits – personal care, nutrition, health appointments, mindfulness, relaxation and activities that support your physical and emotional well-being.
- Quiet Leisure – reading, crafts, music, creative hobbies and activities that encourage relaxation and enjoyment.
- Active Leisure – exercise, walking, sport and other physically active pursuits.
- Social Activities – spending time with family, friends, colleagues and participating in meaningful social connections.
- Screen Time – time spent using phones, tablets, computers, gaming or watching television.
- Sleep – an essential part of maintaining physical, emotional and cognitive well-being.
Each category contains suggested activities to help you decide where to record your time. If your activity doesn't fit one of the suggested options, you can simply select 'Other', allowing you to personalise the app while keeping daily logging quick and easy.
Recording Your Daily Activities
The Home screen allows you to record how you've spent your day by logging your waking hours across the seven categories.
To make this as simple as possible, the app includes options to:
- Copy yesterday's activities.
- Copy the same day from the previous week.
- Edit or customise activities whenever required.
The Sleep category is initially pre-set to eight hours as a starting point but can easily be adjusted to accurately reflect your own sleep pattern.
The goal isn't perfect accuracy — it's to develop a realistic picture of how you spend your time.
Getting Started
When you first begin using Daily Equilibrium, you'll complete a short onboarding questionnaire.
You'll be asked about how you typically spend your time during an average week and then invited to rate both the importance and enjoyment of your current activities.
These questions encourage reflection on whether your daily routine reflects what matters most to you.
Your responses are displayed in an easy-to-understand colour-coded pie chart, giving you a visual overview of your current lifestyle.
AI-Powered Personalised Insights
As you continue using the app, Daily Equilibrium analyses the information you choose to record and uses artificial intelligence (AI) to generate personalised insights.
These insights are designed to help you recognise patterns, identify areas of balance or imbalance, and encourage reflection on how your daily routines may be influencing your well-being.
The AI is intended to support self-awareness and personal reflection. It does not provide medical advice, psychological therapy or a diagnosis.
Your 'Preferred Lifestyle' Example
Daily Equilibrium includes a 'Preferred Lifestyle' example to help you understand how the app works.
This example is based on a typical full-time working adult and demonstrates one way that time might be distributed across the seven areas of Daily Equilibrium over the course of a week.
It is important to understand that this is not intended to represent the "perfect" lifestyle, nor is it a recommendation for how everyone should spend their time.
Everyone's life is different.
Factors such as your age, occupation, working hours, family responsibilities, health, culture, interests and personal values will all influence what a balanced week looks like for you. A student, shift worker, parent of young children, retired person or someone living with a long-term health condition will naturally have very different routines.
The purpose of the 'Preferred Lifestyle' example is simply to provide a visual guide and demonstrate the principles of occupational balance.
As you begin using the app, you are encouraged to customise your own 'Preferred Lifestyle' so that it reflects your individual circumstances, priorities and values. Over time, these goals can continue to evolve as your life changes and as you gain a better understanding of the activities that best support your own well-being.
There is no single formula for a balanced life. Daily Equilibrium recognises that balance is personal, and your 'preferred lifestyle' should be unique to you.
Building Healthy Habits
Daily Equilibrium includes a dedicated habit-building section to help you turn small positive actions into long-term habits.
Suggested goals are available within each of the seven categories to provide inspiration and help you get started. However, you are also free to create your own personalised goals that reflect what is meaningful and important to you within the Habit Tracking section.
By focusing on gradual, achievable changes, the app encourages sustainable improvements rather than unrealistic expectations.
Tracking Your Progress
As you continue using Daily Equilibrium, your information is presented through a range of easy-to-read charts and graphs, allowing you to monitor your progress over time.
Depending on your subscription, you can track:
- Time spent in each of the seven categories.
- Daily and weekly activity patterns.
- Mood trends over time.
- Progress towards your personal goals.
- Changes in your habits and routines.
These visual summaries make it easier to identify patterns, celebrate progress and recognise areas that may benefit from greater attention.
Understanding the Relationship Between Activities and Mood
Daily Equilibrium also encourages you to record your 'mood' each day.
Over time, you may begin to notice patterns between how you spend your time and how you feel.
For example, you may find that regular physical activity, spending time with friends or engaging in creative hobbies consistently improves your mood. Alternatively, you may notice that prolonged periods of work, excessive screen time or reduced opportunities for rest leave you feeling more stressed or fatigued.
These insights can help you make informed decisions about the habits and routines that best support your own health and well-being.

Daily Equilibrium offers both a Free and Premium version.
The Free version provides access to the core features, allowing you to begin tracking your activities, reflecting on your lifestyle and developing greater self-awareness.

Creating Your Own Daily Equilibrium
Daily Equilibrium isn't about achieving perfection or following someone else's routine. It's about understanding yourself.
As your lifestyle changes, your priorities and routines will naturally change too. The app is designed to evolve with you, helping you reflect on what supports your well-being at different stages of life.
Through greater awareness, meaningful reflection and small, consistent actions, Daily Equilibrium helps you create a lifestyle that reflects your own values, supports your mental and physical well-being, and promotes a healthier, more balanced life — one day at a time.
